Tier 1 Technical Support Specialist

What You’d Be Doing

We are seeking a recent college graduate or equivalent real-life experience to join our team as a Technology Support Specialist Intern! You will resolve computer-related issues for a variety of clients, work with our team of technicians to gain training and experience as we fulfill I.T. tasks for our clients. Candidate must be familiar with modern technology systems including Windows and MAC operating systems and have basic networking understanding.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
  • Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, or electronically
  • Recommend hardware and software improvements
  • Track customer issues and resolutions
  • Work on cabling projects throughout the region, some travel will be required from time to time
  • Support current team on technology implementation projects including installing computers, phone systems, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years current experience in help desk or network administration or College Degree in related field
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Experience managing Windows networks
  • Experience with firewall systems (SonicWall, Cisco, etc.) a plus
  • Windows Server Management / Active Directory / Group Policy
  • Good knowledge of modern Windows and MAC operating systems
  • Networking experience a bonus
  • VOIP experience a bonus
  • Prior cabling experience a plus
