What You’d Be Doing

Overview

The full-time intern position will consist of on-site and remote working hours. Intern and Strategy Marketing Director will have weekly meetings to review assignments, track work progress, and receive coaching. Meetings will be conducted in person as well as via remote conferencing. The Intern will be responsible for creating graphic design elements for internal projects as well as client projects. Projects may consist of web-based graphics, branding opportunities, collateral design, and various other creative efforts, as well as other opportunities that may arise. Work may be done in conjunction with a team or individually. The Intern may have some direct communication with clients or partake in client meetings with Strategy staff.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Currently enrolled in a college setting and working toward a graphic design degree or having recently acquired a graphic design degree
  • Freelance or client-based work a plus
  • Portfolio of work required

Skills

  • Proficient in the Adobe CS Suite of products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite
  • Ability to work in Windows or Apple environments
  • Good understanding of basic web site design techniques
  • Good understanding of basic graphic design principles and theory
  • Good understanding of basic print design techniques
  • Design Layout skills
  • Print layout knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Plans concepts by studying information, materials, and brand guides
  • Creates and design materials for print and digital formats
  • Creates unique design concepts by creating layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
  • Coordinates with designer and director for revisions and approvals
  • Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, clients, etc. as needed
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing responsibilities as needed
  • Contributes to team with brainstorming and creative exercises
