What You’d Be Doing

Overview

The Marketing Content Writer will be responsible for creating compelling, engaging and informative content for websites and marketing plans, including blogs, lead magnets, and some email content, for clients. This person will develop and execute content strategies that align with company marketing philosophies and client goals.

This role would be ideal for a strategic, process-oriented individual who is passionate about creating engaging content that drives results. The ability to manage multiple projects and brands at the same time is an important element of success for this role in order to serve multiple clients across different industries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with clients to build and refine content
  • Write and edit website content with SEO best practices
  • Write and edit marketing content, including blog posts, social media posts, email campaigns, and other digital content
  • Own website content creation and process with drafting content, creating sitemap direction, remediating content with design/developers, and finalizing content for publication
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on content strategies, design setup, and editorial needs
  • Perform keyword research for content strategies
  • Own content production process to ensure timelines are met
  • Conduct research and stay up to date on industry trends to inform content creation
  • Optimize all content elements for search engine visibility and engagement
  • Use marketing tools to schedule, post, and edit content
  • Create and ensure brand style guide implementation and consistency across clients

Qualifications

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience creating and building content in digital platforms
  • Understanding of SEO and how to optimize content for search engines
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working collaboratively and cross-functionally with teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Preferred, not required: Understanding of Storybrand principles
  • Experience creating and implementing brand personas and style guides
